Installation guide
From account to first grade, in twelve steps. The installer detects DaVinci Resolve and the OpenFX folder for you.
STEP 1
Create your LASTFX account.
Register with your email and verify it using the link we send. Verification is required to start a trial, buy a license or download.

STEP 3
Run the installer.
Close DaVinci Resolve, then double-click LASTFX-Setup. Windows asks for administrator permission because plug-ins are installed for all users.

STEP 4
Allow the installer to detect DaVinci Resolve.
The installer looks for DaVinci Resolve and the OpenFX plug-in folder (normally C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins). You will see a check mark for each one it found.

STEP 5
Select LUMERIX and/or GRAINOVA.
Both are ticked by default. Untick a plug-in to skip it; you can run the installer again later to add it.

STEP 6
Install.
Press Install. The installer copies the plug-in bundles, creates Start Menu entries (account, documentation, license status, uninstall), adds the LUMERIX Batch Match script to Resolve (Workspace > Scripts) when LUMERIX is selected, and shows the trial or license status of each plug-in when it finishes.

Compatibility
We only list what has actually been tested. Nothing on this page is a promise about versions that are not listed as tested.
| Item | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Windows 11 x64 | Tested | Automated test suite (unit, plug-in host, installer) passes on Windows 11 x64 (build 26200). |
| Windows 10 x64 | Not yet verified | Built with the same toolchain; not yet verified on a Windows 10 machine. |
| OpenFX 1.4 host (reference host built on the OpenFX SDK) | Tested | Both plug-ins load, describe, render (tiles, render scales, top-down and bottom-up images, 32-bit float RGBA) and run their parameter actions. |
| DaVinci Resolve 21.0 (Windows) | Not yet verified | Resolve 21.0 is installed on the development computer, but the plug-ins have not yet been loaded inside it. Verification inside Resolve itself is still to be completed and will be listed here when done. |
| GPU rendering (NVIDIA CUDA) | Not yet verified | CUDA rendering is built in and matches the CPU output in automated tests on one NVIDIA GPU model. It has not yet been verified inside DaVinci Resolve. Without a supported GPU the plug-ins use the CPU. Metal (macOS) and other GPU vendors are not offered. |
| macOS | Planned | The code is organised for a macOS build. No macOS version is offered yet. |
Troubleshooting
- The plug-in is not in the Effects Library.
- Quit Resolve completely and start it again. Check that Lumerix.ofx.bundle / GRAINOVA.ofx.bundle exist in C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins. If they do not, run the installer again as administrator.
- The installer says DaVinci Resolve was not found.
- You can still install. The plug-ins are ready when Resolve is installed. If Resolve is in a custom location, the OpenFX folder is still the standard one.
- The image looks unchanged.
- Open the LICENSE section. Without an active trial or license (or after it has ended) the plug-in shows a LASTFX watermark instead of the effect. Also check that the node is enabled and that Match Strength or the effect amounts are above 0.
- Activation fails.
- Read the message shown: it says if the key is wrong, the device limit was reached, or the server could not be reached. Check your Internet connection, or deactivate an old device under Dashboard > Devices.
- How do I uninstall?
- Settings > Apps > LASTFX, or Start Menu > LASTFX > Uninstall. Your local license data is kept so that a re-install stays activated.
